    Maximum performance for heavy loads and stop-and-go operations. Outstanding for bus and refuse vocations. DNA-68 is very similar to the old Brake Pro formula CM/CMT22A1, that provided outstanding stopping power, quiet brake applications and extended lining and drum life.

    Extra Life

    Designed to maximize brake replacement cycles. These friction materials are made with the highest manufacturing and technology processes the industry offers. DNA-88 is very similar to the old Brake Pro formula CM24/29, that provided stopping power, quiet brake applications and extended lining and drum life. This is the solution to transit applications with 28,700 GAWR applications and any heavy duty refuse application that desires the four basics to lower operation costs. Stopping power, Quiet brake applications, Extended lining life and Extended drum life.

    A versatile friction material designed for heavy loads & tough terrain - yet excellent for over-the-road hauling

    Heat Star is a proven, premium lining formulation designed to provide fleets with a brake lining delivering excellent service life in a variety of demanding vocational environments. Heat Star is rated for 23,000 lb axle loads, making it ideal for the unique stopping requirements of tough applications like liquid tanker, grain, cement or standard duty refuse, as well as over-the-road hauling.

    A premium friction material suitable for heavy loads as well as over-the-road hauling

    Marathon engineered FLOE to meet OE standards and for tough applications like liquid tanker, grain, cement, or standard duty refuse, as well as over-the-road hauling. FLOE delivers excellent stopping power and resistance to fade. FLOE is a proven formulation that easily meets Federal regulations in accordance with FMVSS 121 test procedure and is rated for 23,000 lb axle loads.

    MARATHON MV23 STANDARD GRADE LININGS meet the requirements of FMVSS 121 dynamometer testing standards at 23,000 lbs. MV23 is designed for price sensitive fleets that require a 23,000 lb material. MV23 is also suited for low powered brake systems that require a more aggressive lining

    A combination semi-metallic and organic brake block engineered for severe duty applications

    Marathon developed its combination brake block to be the industry leader in lining life and stopping power. Featuring our proven Heat Star organic and metallic brass materials, MBC linings handle the high heat commonly found in severe duty applications like coal hauling or refuse collection. MBC easily meets Federal regulations for brake effectiveness, fade and recovery in accordance with FMVSS 121 test procedure and is rated for 23,000 lb axle loads.

    MBS Marathon Brake Semi-Metallic lining is designed specifically for severe service truck applications

    Marathon developed MBS brake linings to address the most severe duty braking requirements. This semi-metallic friction material provides high temperature stability and therefore consistent stopping power in even the toughest applications. This long life brake lining easily meets Federal regulations for brake effectiveness, fade and recovery in accordance with FMVSS 121 test procedure and is rated for 23,000 lb axle loads.

    A versatile high performance premium brake lining designed for a wide range of over-the-road hauling.

    The other member of our flagship Heat Star family is HS20, a premium, OE approved, long life friction material that will lower your cost per mile and reduce overall brake maintenance costs. HS20 is a versatile and high performance lining ideal for a variety of over-the-road hauling applications. This proven formulation easily meets Federal regulations for brake effectiveness, fade and recovery in accordance with FMVSS 121 test procedure and is rated for 20,000 lb axle loads. In addition, HS20 meets NHTSA requirements for reduced stopping distance (RSD).

    A premium grade brake lining designed for 20,000 lb axle load applications

    Marathon's Fleet Star FS20 lining is a premium quality material designed to deliver dependable stopping power with a long lining life. Ideal for over-the-road freight, general hauling and other standard heavy-duty vocations that do not require a severe service lining. With excellent stopping power and resistance to fading, FS20 meets Federal regulations in accordance with FMVSS 121 test procedure and is rated for 20,000 lb axle loads. In addition, FS20 meets NHTSA requirements for reduced stopping distance (RSD).

    A long life friction material designed for severe duty and multiple stop braking

    Marathon developed KVT brake linings to handle the high heat and heavy-duty demands of refuse, concrete, logging, sand and gravel, oil delivery, beverage transport and other tough applications. KVT is a premium, organic material rated for 25,000 lb axle loads that provides stopping power you can count on with a long service life. This versatile lining meets Federal regulations in accordance with FMVSS 121 test procedure for applications up to 25,000 lbs.

    Standard grade brake linings designed for 20,000 lb axle load applications

    MARATHON MV20 STANDARD GRADE LININGS are made from an asbestos-free friction material developed specifically for the price sensitive buyer. MV20 is a standard grade brake lining that meets the requirements of FMVSS 121 dynamometer testing standards at 20,000 lbs. MV20 is designed for use on trucks, tractors, and trailers operating in general freight and on-highway applications that do not require a severe service lining

  • TS

    An organic friction material providing a long lining life in severe duty and multiple stop applications

    Premium, organic Traction Stopper brake linings are designed to handle the high heat and extra-heavy loads found in refuse, concrete, logging, sand and gravel, oil delivery and other tough applications. TS linings provide dependable stopping power with a long service life. This friction material meets Federal regulations in accordance with F.M.V.S.S. 121 test procedure and is rated for 25,000 lb axle loads.
